Beautiful Chinese Export Tureen, Cover + Underplate or Tray, Very Large & Heavy

Description

This is a large, heavy ceramic Chinese export tureen with handles, lid and underplate or tray. It is for decorative purposes only, NOT for food use. The Asian or oriental design, which is slightly raised, is predominantly gold, green and pinks with gold paint
on knob, handles and rim of underplate. Some wear on gold handles. Half-inch flaw in side of tureen interior. Underplate has numerous black specks under the glaze, as shown. With lid on, tureen and handles measures 13" long x 10" wide x 10" high. Underplate measures 13.75" long x 11.5" wide" x 2" deep. Set is very heavy, weighing 11 pounds. Age of this set is unknown.
