A MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF JEWELS - A VERY RARE AND WONDERFUL ANTIQUE CHINESE NECKLACE AND BRACELET - THESE DRAMATIC JEWELS ARE TRUE MASTERPIECES. EACH PIECE HAS A LARGE CARVED NATURAL CARNELIAN GEM - THE NECKLACE HAS AN IMAGE OF A BIRD IN FLOWERS, THE BRACELET HAS AN IMAGE OF A DRAGON. THE GEMS ARE SET IN WHAT I BELIEVE IS A BRASS OR SILVER METAL, WITH LOVELY GREEN VERDIGRIS. THE SETTINGS HAVE IMAGES OF DRAGONS AND FLOWERS IN REPOUSSE ENGRAVED DESIGNS. THE CLASPS ARE SET WITH LARGE NATURAL TURQUOISE GEMS. THE CHAIN LINKS ARE NATURAL TURQUOISE BEADS. THE JEWELS ARE ANTIQUE AND DATE TO CIRCA 1900.

A VERY RARE AND WONDERFUL ANTIQUE CHINESE NECKLACE - THE DRAMATIC LONG NECKLACE HAS A JADE MEDALION IN THE CENTER WHICH IS CARVED IN A LOTUS FLOWER IMAGE.  3 PENDANTS HANG FROM THE JADE WHICH I BELIEVE ARE HAIR PINS.  ONE HAS AN IMAGE OF A MONKEY AT THE TOP.  THERE ARE BUTTERFLY AND FRUIT PENDANTS SET WITHIN THE NECKLACE.  THE NECKLACE IS ANTIQUE AND DATES TO CIRCA 1880-1920 I BELIEVE.
The condition of the necklace is excellent.  The necklace is 15.5 inches long.  The pendant portion hangs down 8 inches (20 cm).  The necklace is gold filled.
