Leitz base plate flash synch unit for some Leica screw mount cameras.
It allows for internal synchronization through the base plate.
It has an adjustable millisecond delay synchro slider on the back edge for shutter speeds between 1/20 to 1/1000.
It also has a zero delay setting for electronic flash synch.
2-prong synch cord socket on one end.
The length of the base plate inside measures 13.3cm (5-1/4 in.) as seen in the photos.
