    "SKY SOLDIER MEDIC"
Vietnam War Home Movies and Slide Show
Home movie footage & slides filmed by Sp/4 Tulio Larrinaga, a medic with B Co, 4/503, 173rd Abn Bde during 1970-71.
You'll see scenes filmed during Jump School at Ft. Bragg, NC -- showing several jumps, gathering up parachutes, guys on maneuvers in the woods, etc.
In Vietnam Tulio rides along on a Medevac flight with a pilot wearing a fur-pelt covered helmet -- flying to and from DaNang and other bases. There's footage filmed on road trips, traveling in trucks and jeeps, sometimes in a convoy, through small towns and the countryside of I Corps. Sp/4 Larrinaga is seen giving first aid treatment to children in a small village. He films at different LZs -- English, Uplift and Washington. You'll see panoramic views from a hilltop base, looking down over a valley and plains. There's footage of a soldier firing a Bazooka into the valley below, and men blasting the sides of their hilltop to clear and burn away brush around their outpost. Other footage includes shots of men sighting in and firing a mortar, a soldier demonstrating the M72-LAW, a three-man band performing for the troops, and more. (Film portion is 1hr 17min)
Followed by a 25+ minute slide show of pictures taken in many of the same areas, plus shots of a band called 'The Diaboliks' at a club, some hospital/surgery shots, bands performing on an outdoor stage, and more.
The DVD has a soundtrack of AFVN radio programs.
Running Time: 1 hour 42 minutes
